Below are our dogs who are sadly no longer with us, they all gave us special memories and without them the Abydachs Kennel wouldn't be what it is today. We hope they are now running free waiting for their friends and family to join them.

ABYDACHS GOLDEN CHEROKEE

Meg

Loosing our matriarch has left a huge gap at Abydachs, Meg always did what she wanted to do, never threw her weight around unless she had to with the younger dogs but kept everyone well and truly under her paw! She gave us 2 fantastic litters of 7 and 9, and could always be found in August & September sitting underneath our pear tree waiting for the ripe pears to drop for her. This is where she can now be forever. Meg is behind every standard currently at Abydachs.

ABYDACHS GOLDEN CONQUEST

Buster

Our first CC Winner, sadly never sired any puppies but a wonderful dog to live with who taught us so much about the showing game. Buster was still winning at 12 years old, when we finally retired him after winning Best Veteran in Show at a Dachshund Breed Club Open Show. The photo of him below is at about 11 months old, after winning Reserve Best In Show & Best Puppy In Show at The Cambrian Dachshund Club Open Show in 2000.

CH ABYDACHS ANARCHY

Pip

We were devastated when Pip's owners rang us to say he had been in a dreadful accident and unfortunately hadn't pulled through despite everyone's best effort. He was doing what came naturally to him and chasing a fox in his garden, unfortunately the fox found a hole in the fence and Pip followed it through and went straight across a busy road. Despite racing him straight to the vets there was nothing that could be done. The sadness caused by loosing this stunning young dog is immense. He gave us almost 3 years of great pleasure, was our first Mini Long Champion and had sired just 2 litters. It is a great loss to Abydachs and especially, to Kim, John Jo and Charlie who he lived with who were so very proud of all his achievements. It is our hope that his progeny goes on to give people as much happiness as Pip did to us. Run free little man.

ABYDACHS VIKING

Boddington

15/05/96-07/06/07

Sadly we have had to say goodbye to our beloved Boddington, the father of our first champion and himself a consistent winner at shows. A delight to have around, not demanding anything from life other than the odd girl to lust after!! He sired 2 fabulous litters for us and left us a legacy in his children and grandchildren. Sweet dreams our lovely boy.
